EarthFriendlyCandle is a bright new chapter in my life. For time out of mind I've enjoyed burning candles. Without thinking, I'd grab a few at the store on Saturday and they'd be burned away by Monday. Never did I imagine that I possessed the skill to actually create a candle at home. Beyond my imagination that a candle created by me would last over two weeks of burning every evening, all day Saturday and Sunday.

Then Hurricane Katrina blew me from my world. And Hurricane Rita rolled me even further. As I traveled back to ground zero with my two dogs and three cats, I knew that those storms had changed me forever.

When my home was again livable, if not completely repaired, I began to make plans to create a new life. I wanted my new life to have passion. I searched for my passion. I discovered soy wax candles.

I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated at first. But, once I tried making my own candle, I was hooked.

That's what I want to bring to others, the joy of creating a candle with the scent and color of your choice. A candle that will burn cool and not break the glass receptacle. A candle that will fill your home with fragrance. A candle that will not sentence it's holder to the garbage after it's burned.

So, that's my story. My new life after Katrina and Rita, EarthFriendlyCandle.
